There was but one single purpose to this event – firefighter safety.
Today the International Association of Fire Chiefs and the International Association of Fire Fighters announced the theme for the 2010 Safety, Health and Survival Week: Fit for Duty.
The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s Everyone Goes Home® program is proud to announce the selection of the North Dakota Fire Fighter’s Association (NDFA) as a recipient of the Firefighter Life Safety “Seal of Excellence” Award.
In conjunction with a major studying investigating the prevalence of recruit-level training on the topic of community fire prevention and public education, the Everyone Goes Home® program is seeking information on existing firefighter recruit training programs/courses/schools/etc.
The ultimate objective of this effort is to reduce the number of firefighter deaths through an increased
awareness and understanding of their causes and how they can be prevented.
The IRC Fire Sprinkler Coalition applauds the October 2, 2009 “Open Letter to the Fire Service” released by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
A call to action has been issued to our nation’s fire service, and we need to be involved in this important event.
