The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, in collaboration with Firefighterskills.com, LLC, announces Episode 2 of After The Fire Podcast: The 1977 near miss of Brockton Fire Captain Joseph LaCouture.
LaCouture tells the tale of how he narrowly escaped a 2 1/2 story residential structure, with his life, when fire traveled through void spaces and into the truss roof which collapsed on top of him. His account of being on fire and escaping out of an attic window is heart pounding and bestows a lasting impression of many lessons upon the listener.
