Recruit-Level Training: Community Fire Prevention and Public Education

Everyone Goes Home® Wants to Know Your Best Practices for Teaching Recruits to be Prevention and Safety Advocates

In conjunction with a major studying investigating the prevalence of recruit-level training on the topic of community fire prevention and public education, the Everyone Goes Home® program is seeking information on existing firefighter recruit training programs/courses/schools/etc. We would like to know the best practices for teaching recruits how they can become involved in their department’s prevention activities and become advocates for fire prevention and fire safety education.

If such courses exist at the recruit level in your department, please send us a brief outline (incluidng total teaching/learning hours and total number of hours for the recruit school). Please send your information to JoEllen Kelly and be sure to include a contact email or telephone number. We will assemble this material and will post on www.EveryoneGoesHome.com.
