Providence, Rhode Island Training Event

Training Opportunity Date:
May 11, 2007

Training Opportunity:
Courage to Be Safe/Taking Care of Our OwnŠ Training - The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation has united its two premier training programs, The Courage to Be Safe and Taking Care of Our OwnŠ, into one awareness level presentation. The CTBS will introduce and explain the 16 Firefighter Life Safety Initiatives, with unique suggestions for implementing each one within a fire department setting. Taking Care of Our OwnŠ will give an overview of line-of-duty deaths in the United States and offer practical implementation strategies for departments who suffer a life-threatening injury or LODD. While on the surface these two programs may appear to present very different material, they are united in one message: the fire service must unite as one family to eliminate needless and senseless firefighter fatalities.
