Class Description:
This workshop is targeted at Fire Officers and Firefighters that are implementing the 16 Firefighter Life Safety Initiatives, theses skills are also an asset when exercising daily tasks of working with others.
Facilitation is a critical skill for coordinating the ideas and contributions of diverse sets of people within organizations. Facilitators play an essential role in helping groups develop consensus on important issues such as ones relative to the elimination of preventable line of duty injury and deaths. This 5-hour workshop is designed to teach participants the skill of facilitation, and to improve on the skills learned elsewhere.

- Coaching & feedback techniques
- Managing group conflict & problem solving
- Developing techniques for delivering feedback
Class Size: This class size is limited to thirty five people.

Howard has been in training and development for more than twenty-five years, during which time he has worked with clients that include a number of Fortune 500 Companies, non-profit groups, fire and emergency response organizations, and state and federal agencies. Since 1987 Howard has been an instructor at the National Fire Academy in Maryland, teaching Executive Fire Officer Programs. He is in demand as a national speaker, delivering special event, keynote, and closing addresses to large and small groups worldwide. He is the co-author of The Group Games Collection, a book on team building activities.
